The Algoma region is your gateway to the ultimate Northern Ontario wilderness vacation. Located on the north shores of Lake Superior and Lake Huron and stretching to the James Bay lowlands, the rugged terrain and vast forests offer excellent atv trails on crown land. A variety of atv tours are available for beginners, sightseers, relaxed socializing or
aggressive marathon riding.
We recommend you check with an Algoma ATV Associate in the area you wish to ride in or email us at Best Northern directly. We can provide descriptions for popular routes and advisories regarding laws and trail conditions. We can also provide information on ATV rentals. Currently there are no fees for riding ATV trails on Ontario crown lands, although there are some restricted areas and some communities have established local ATV trails that have fees for use.
Due to the wilderness nature of Algoma, we strongly suggest the use of local guides who are familiar with the ATV trails, laws, facilities and trained in wilderness survival.
